Never content with only transmitting in Wellington, in 1996 Radio Active took the already
worldclass 89FM worldwide with one of the first internet radio stations.
(Providing of course you had RealPlayer, but don’t worry, in a few years it would come
bundled with Windows 98!).
The 24/7 internet stream gave international audiences a slice of Wellington, and expat
kiwis a taste of home!
